State Representative Kelly Keisling (R-Byrdstown) has received the endorsement of the Tennessee Professional Fire Fighters Association for his reelection campaign to the Tennessee House of Representatives.

The TPFFA represents 35 affiliates and approximately 7,100 active and retired firefighters, fire prevention professionals, fire instructors, EMS personnel, and emergency services workers across the state of Tennessee. The organization has served Tennessee's fire service community since 1960.

"I am honored to receive this endorsement from the men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our communities," said Rep. Keisling. "Supporting our firefighters and EMS professionals has always been a priority for me, and I will continue fighting for them in Nashville."

In a letter to Rep. Keisling, TPFFA President Matthew Tomek wrote that the organization "is proud to support the election of candidates, like you, who measure up on the issues that most concern our members. We are advocates for positive legislation for Tennessee Fire and Emergency Medical Services Professionals."

During the 114th General Assembly, Rep. Keisling supported multiple pieces of legislation benefiting first responders, including measures to protect the families of those killed in the line of duty and legislation increasing penalties for assaulting firefighters, EMTs, and other emergency personnel.

"Our first responders deserve a state government that has their back," Rep. Keisling added. "I am grateful for this endorsement and will continue working on behalf of the fire and EMS professionals who serve District 38 and all of Tennessee."
